Thousands of fans poured out in Philadelphia on Monday for a Free Meek Mill rally.

The Dreamchasers rapper is currently serving 2-4 years in a state prison in Pennsylvania for probation violation. But his sentencing last week sparked a national debate about the criminal justice system and now his fans are demanding a review of the controversial sentence. The rally started at 5 p.m. on Monday at Philadelphia’s Criminal Justice Center and the crowd later marched through the streets. There is no word yet on if any celebrities attended the rally, but some members of Meek Mill’s Dreamchaser crew were there to support the rapper. NFL star and the leader of the new wave of anti social injustice, Colin Kaepernick, has also weighed in with a message on Twitter.
